Director of Community Partnerships

Sam Tuten

Sam Tuten comes to the Sunday Creek Horizons team as the Director of Community Partnerships.

In this role, Sam will bring enhanced expertise and capacity to our growing community services division at our firm. Sam holds a BA from The Ohio State University, with a minor in City and Regional Planning, as well as an MPA from the College of Charleston, with a focus on City, Urban, and Regional Planning.

A proud Appalachian native, Sam grew up in Marietta, Ohio, where he realized his love for city planning. As Ohio’s first city, and the First Settlement in the Northwest Territory, Marietta offered Sam the ability to learn about how cities were formed throughout the United States, both Pre & Post-Revolutionary War. Sam's love and appreciation for this region inspired him to move back home to start his career as a City Planner for Parkersburg, West Virginia. Sam currently lives in Marietta with his wife, Maggie, and two miniature dachshunds, Cooper & Dinky and serves as the President of the Marietta Board of Education.
