Sarah Bender

Sarah Bender, a lifelong resident of Scioto County, Ohio, has recently joined the Sunday Creek Horizons team as a fellow. Sarah is a senior at Ohio University majoring in Political Science: Pre-Law and Psychology with a focus in Law, Justice, and Culture, with hopes to attend Law School in the future. Aside from her academics, Sarah is also an active member of several student organizations on campus: Phi Alpha Delta: Pre-Law Fraternity, The ACLU-Ohio, The Ohio Innocence Project, and the Political Science Major Association in which she is the Professional Committee Chair.

Before working with Sunday Creek Horizons Sarah has worked for the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office as a Student Intern where she assisted in county court proceedings alongside prosecutors. Sarah is passionate about Appalachian issues and social welfare and plans to serve Appalachian communities for the rest of her career.
